I'm a Research Scientist on Foundation Models team at Apple. My work involves scientific reasoning, visual understanding, and agentic capabilities in foundation models. I train large-scale models, develop training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and synthetic data systems, and research and develop reasoning capabilities to improve how foundation models reason, perceive, and act in the world.

Before Apple, I was a Machine Learning Engineer at the University of California, where I built a personal virtual assistant and procurement copilot backed by production LLM and knowledge base systems. I received my M.S. in Artificial Intelligence (Natural Language Processing) from UC Santa Cruz, advised by Dr. Ian Lane, and my B.S. in Computer Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology.

Beyond research, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and photography.
